The Angsana Resort is conceived and developed by the Prestige Group (who are normally into construction of commercial and residential complexes). This resort is managed by Singapore-based Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, which manage three other top-class international resorts, including one each at Mauritius , Indonesia , and the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
The 80-acre property (of which about one-tenth has so far been developed) is bursting with flowering creepers. What you notice first is the complete and utter silence, broken only occasionally by the wind sighing through the trees, the delighted shrieks of children at play in the swimming pool, and the lazy buzzing of insects, replete with nectar.

Angsana is a very serious spa, offering all kinds of holistic treatments, therapeutic remedies, and customized spa treatments. These include body treatments like the Tomato Body Wrap for rejuvenating dry skin, the Tangerine Body Wrap for soothing and smoothening skin, the Sunburn Soother, the Honey and Sesame Scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells, and the Blended Brush Scrub where exfoliation takes place with fresh milk, oatmeal, tamarind and watermelon. Also on offer are ayurvedic treatments like Abhyangam which promotes strength, growth and firmness of hair and Sarvanga Sweda , which can help cure ailments like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, nervous disorders and sciatica; massages like the Maui massage, the Remaja Balinese massage, the Ayuthaya (Thai-style) massage; and facials like the Cucumber Cleansing Facial and the Sun-kissed facial.
The six massage pavilions are especially picturesque, screened from the elements by bamboo screens and adjoining open-to-the-sky showers. All the masseurs are trained Thai girls. The Roman Pools, used for hydrotherapy, are surrounded by one-way glass windows that afford a splendid view of the lush, landscaped gardens and emerald green lawns to guests undergoing treatment inside, while being opaque to anyone looking in. The spa pool is the bluest ever.
The Angsana Spa treatments come with a hefty price tag, but there are attractive Spa packages and Ayurvedic packages that include room tariff, all vegetarian meals, and a couple of massages and spa treatments thrown in.

Mirage, the very contemporary, very stylish bar with a sloping roof and pool table, serves alcoholic drinks, juices and a selection of teas and coffees.
Tangerine, the cheery, lime-and-orange-walled all-day restaurant has delectable home-style food cooked with very little oil, and includes such delights as braised quail!
The conference area includes The Burgundy Room with theatre-style seating capacity of 150 people, which is large for a resort hotel, and The Executive Board Room, which is much smaller and more intimate.
